POMEROY — With a motto of “We are here because we care,” family nurse practioners Bonnie Williams and Brenda DeQuasie opened their doors recently and welcomed the community to Meigs Family HealthCare, located at 33101 Hiland Road, Suite B, in Pomeroy.
Williams and DeQuasie both said it had been their dream to open a health care practice and they were looking forward to the opportunity to serve a need in the community for primary care.
“Our mission is to provide the best care to every patient and improve the health of those we serve with a commitment to excellence in all that we do,” they said.
The heath care practice is accepting new patients of all ages for primary care. In addition to primary care, the facility offers services that include Ohio Department of Transportation physicals, lab draws, botox injections and more.
One aspect of their business is to provide a comforting environment for patients. They also understand the need to be seen quickly and accept walk-ins. Their hours are Monday -Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and appointments are available.
Meigs County Chamber of Commerce member Donald Vaughan, of Vaughan Insurance Agency, welcomed Williams and Dequasie and thanked them for investing in the community.
“It takes a community to take care of a community,” Vaughn said. “We are all (MCCC) happy when someone decides to open their business in the area, especially a health care practice like this one that is focusing on the needs of the community.”
