Eagles nip Tornadoes, 27-26


The Eastern football team took a 27-26 victory over archrival Southern, at East Shade River Stadium on Saturday in the season finale for both team. The Tornadoes took a 26-20 lead with 43 seconds remaining in the game, but then Eastern answered with a touchdown and successful point-after kick just 22 seconds later. EHS finishes the year with a 5-5 record, including 5-3 in the Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division, while SHS ends the year at 6-4 overall and 4-4 in the nine-team league.
