Angels eighth, Devils ninth at Circleville Kiwanis Inv.

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A good day to be a General.

The Sheridan boys and girls cross country teams both claimed first place at the Circleville Kiwanis Invitational at Ohio Christian University, on Saturday.

The Lady Generals, anchored by three top-10 finishers, posted a team total of 44, edging second place Liberty Union by 12. The Blue Angels were eighth in the competition with a total of 159. Liberty Union sophomore Sydnee Mangette paced the field of 172 with a time of 19:36.4.

The Gallia Academy girls were led by sixth place finisher Mesa Polcyn (21:10.4) and eight place finisher Mary Watts (21:18.3). Cassidy Starnes placed 65th (25:23.1) for the Blue and White, Abby Cremeans was 102nd (27:48.7) and Caitlyn Caldwell was 117th (28:32.9). Haley Petrie (31.36.0) was 148th for GAHS, while Sydney Rose (32.28.6) was 152nd.

The Sheridan boys team was also led by three top-10 finishers, and posted a team total of 46. Desales was runner-up with a total of 132, while GAHS was ninth with 199. Fisher Catholic senior Aaron Wood paced the field of 194, with a time of 16:19.3.

Kyle Greenlee (18:10.4) claimed 12th to lead the Blue Devils, followed by Caleb Greenlee (18:26.3), who was 16th. Devon Barnes was 68th (20:23.9), Kobe Cochran was 100th (21:30.4), while Kaleb Crisenberry came in 104th (21:39.6). Ezra Blain (21:41.2) was 106th for GAHS, while Tanner Allen (21:41.4) was 107th.
