Shelter counts its blessings

Dear Editor,

During the Thanksgiving season, the Mason County Homeless Shelter food pantry provided Thanksgiving food boxes to the community. The pantry distributed 75 boxes of Thanksgiving meals, complete with a turkey or ham. Through these 75 boxes, the pantry was able to feed about 400 people. On Thanksgiving Day, the community dinner held at the shelter fed the clients at the shelter and 19 individuals from the community. None of this would have been possible without the support from the community that we have received. Through monetary and food donations, the shelter has been able to provide food to individuals and families throughout the community. We at the shelter would like to give a big thank you to the community for their continued support of the Mason County Homeless Shelter.

A sincere thank you,

Mason County Homeless Shelter staff
