Mason County EMS
The following run report was submitted by Mason County EMS for April 9 – 13: Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 81 times between April 9 – 13; 29 patients were taken to area hospitals, seven cancelled en route, three ALS assists, four refusals, one standby for fire. Out of the 29 patients who were transported EMS had; 3 chest pains, 1 seizure, 1 Diabetic, 11 medical emergencies, 4 falls, 1 Overdose, 1 altered mental status, 6 breathing difficulties. Out of those, EMS transported to Pleasant Valley Hospital 18 times, Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, 3 times, Holzer Medical Center in Pomeroy, Ohio, 1 time, HealthNet helicopter 1 time, St. Mary’s Hospital 5 times. EMS had a total of 6 ALS transports from PVH; St. Mary’s Hospital had 3 ALS transports, Cabell Huntington Hospital had 3 ALS transports, and King’s Daughters had 1 ALS transport. EMS had 31 BLS transports; 10 to Dialysis and 10 back to patient’s residence, 1 from residence to outpatient surgery, 1 to CHH, 5 to PVH Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1 to Overbrook Center, and 3 back to the patient’s residences all from PVH. Station 100 in Point Pleasant handled 50 calls between two ambulances; Station 200 in Apple Grove handled 10 calls; Station 500 in Mason handled 21 calls.

The Point Pleasant Police Department has released its activity report for March as follows: 60 citations issued; five misdemeanor arrests; two felony arrests; one DUI; 16 accident reports; 35 complaint reports. Donald McKeever, obstruction times three, trespassing, battery. Mary L. Cross, domestic assault. Melanie Pumphrey, capias. Lora Terry, obstructing officer, obstructing EMS personnel, public intoxication, disorderly conduct. Amanda Leonard, DUI first offense. Cassandra Ahrens, warrant.
