Celebrating the season

Mason Harvest Festival returns

Staff Report

MASON — The frost is on the pumpkin and last weekend locals were celebrating the season at Mason’s Harvest Festival. The day was a chilly one, but the temperature didn’t keep people from coming out to enjoy free hotdogs, games, vendors, and music.

Held at at the Stewart-Johnson V.F.W./Lottie Jenks Memorial Park, the day was also filled with inflatables for the kids, a corn pit, haybales, cornhole boards, drawings for cakes and more. There were several vendors selling various items, food and plenty of homebaked goods.

Pictured is that aforementioned cornpit which is all you need for a good time, as demonstrated by this young fella. Also pictured, The Kearns Family providing musical entertainment for those attending the festival this past Saturday at the park along the Ohio River.

More photos from the festival appear inside on page 4A, and online at www.mydailyregister.com.
