Mason County Sheriff’s Department

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests Aug. 11 – 15: Ronnie L. Hammond, 42, Huntington, possession of meth, obstructing an officer, fleeing from police officer on foot, arrested by Deputy J. Peterson. Wesley A. Chapman, 31, Point Pleasant, aggravated DUI, arrested by Deputy Waugh. Brenton L. Glover, 31, Gallipolis Ferry, domestic assault, public intoxication, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Frederick Q. Nibert, 61, Point Pleasant, destruction of property, arrested by Deputy Ferrell.


The following individuals from Mason County were recently indicted by the Gallia County Grand Jury which met in August, according to the office of Gallia Prosecuting Attorney Jason Holdren.

Randy Henry, 41, of Gallipolis Ferry, one count of Illegal Manufacturing of Drugs (Methamphetamine), a felony of the first-degree; one count of Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a felony of the second-degree; and two counts of Endangering Children, felonies of the third-degree. Rebecca D. Hill, 28, of Point Pleasant, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth-degree. Brenton L. Glover, 31, of Gallipolis Ferry, one count of Identity Fraud, a felony of the fifth-degree; and one count of Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the fifth-degree.

The cases against those indicted will proceed in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
