POINT PLEASANT – The Point Pleasant Riverfront Park will be busy this weekend as crowds attend the annual Sternwheel Regatta event starting this Thursday, June 29.
Kicking off the weekend festivities will be the Teen and Miss Queen pageant beginning at 7 p.m., in the amphitheater.

Jocelynn Wilson, the 2017 West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals will be on hand to serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Giving up their titles Thursday night will be Bridgett Dudding, 2016 Regatta Queen, and Sarah Deem, 2016 Regatta Teen Queen. The 2015 Regatta Queen, Katlynn McKinney will provide entertainment during the pageant.
Pageant Director Delyssa Edwards said “a great pageant is in store” and she hopes to see the community come out to support all of the contestants during both nights of pageantry. The junior royalty and pretty baby contest take place at 5 p.m. this Friday, also at Riverfront Park.
