First ticket sold to Mason County Fair Bash

NEW HAVEN — Though the calendar says March, it’s never too soon to think about August and the Mason County Fair and its annual Mason County Fair Bash held in May.

Recently, K & L Processing of New Haven, purchased the first ticket for the Mason County Fair Bash which will be held on Saturday, May 20 at the fair grounds. The grand prize this year will be $10,000 cash. Tickets are $50 each and all tickets sold before April 15, will be entered in the early bird drawing for $1,000 cash. The bash will start with the early bird drawing at 11:55 a.m., May 20 with a ticket drawn every five minutes up until the grand prize of $10,000 at 6 p.m.

In addition to the all-you-can-eat hog roast, free entertainment, bouncy houses for the kids will be available and professional corn hole tournaments start at 11 a.m. that day.

Tickets can be purchased at Ohio Valley Bank in Point Pleasant, Bobs Market in Mason, Thompson’s Hardware in New Haven, Angel Tax & Accounting in Pomeroy, Ohio and Ravenswood, Farmers Bank in Point Pleasant, Mason and Gallipolis, Ohio, Pomeroy, Ohio and Tuppers Plains, Ohio, Sassafras Tires in West Columbia, Tobacco King in Mason, and from any fair board of directors members and officers.

The bash operates as a fundraiser for the Mason County Fair to keep up with expenses and upgrades to the fair grounds.
