Deputies find six alleged meth labs in one spot

HARTFORD — This week has started out with the discovery of multiple meth labs at one location, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Department.

On Monday, Sheriff Greg Powers announced one of his deputies was attempting to serve a warrant at a residence in Hartford. During the attempt, the deputy observed a door had been forced open to a residence on High Street.

While searching the residence, deputies observed a total of six, alleged meth labs in the residence and around the property.

Though no arrests had been made as of Tuesday afternoon, Powers said the department was working leads with “several suspects” in this incident.

In unrelated cases, the sheriff’s department has also released the following recent arrests made from Oct. 11-19, as follows: Kelly D. Huffman, 29, Apple Grove, burglary, arrested by Deputy Ferrell. Justin M. Jordan, 32, Mason, daytime burglary, arrested by Capt. Peterson. Terry R. Waugh, 32, Patriot, Ohio, breaking and entering, grand larceny, arrested by Lt. Greene. Shannon T. Henderson, 21, Gallipolis, Ohio, breaking and entering, grand larceny, arrested by Lt. Greene. Don E. McDade, 47, Point Pleasant, DUI second offense, driving on revoked, arrested by Sgt. Varian. Jessica D. Meredith, 31, Spencer, shoplifting third offense, obstructing an officer, arrested by Cpt. Peterson. David E. Maynard, 53, Point Pleasant, leaving scene of accident, driving revoked, no insurance, arrested by Sgt. Varian. Dustin K. Null, 24, Point Pleasant, DUI, possession of controlled substance, defective equipment, arrested by Deputy Veith. Christopher J. Arrington, 37, New Haven, possession with intent to deliver, arrested by Deputy M. Stewart. Justin C. Arbogast, 29, Gallipolis Ferry, fleeing from officer in vehicle, arrested by Deputy Ferrel.
