Providing coats for kids

Thirty five children recently received winter coats following a coat-drive effort. Local Big River Radio stations partnered with Mason County Preschool and Head Start programs to find students in need, while listeners and monetary donations helped purchase the coats. Pictured from left (with some of the coats which were collected) representing Mason County Schools is Beverly Pursley, along with radio representatives Erica Dowell, Tom Payne and Steven Figel. Those involved in the drive said the coats were provided thanks to those in the community who stepped up to “fill this need.” (Courtesy)
