The Busy 4’s 4-H Club recently elected club officers. Officers are President Emily Parsons, Vice President Emily Keefer, Secretary Miranda Payne, Treasurer Haley Pierson, Reporter Jessica Raynes, Health Officer Courtney Young, Song and Pledge Leaders Julia Parsons and Olivia Boggess, Game Leaders Luke Raynes, Conner Blessing, Caleb Pierson.
At the club’s parliamentary 4-H monthly club meeting the president calls the meeting to order. Followed by song and pledge, meditations, secretary and treasurers report, reports, old business, new business, adjourning the business part of the meeting, then games and snacks.
Old Business for 2015 Year: Officer’s Training School; Achievement Banquet; Enrollment Forms; Fundraisers Rada and Deer Hunters Breakfast; Christmas Tree at Community Center; Lakin Gifts and Caroling; Community Project Toys for Kids; Recycled Items for each month (paper and plastic bottles); Collect food for church (team one – soup, pancake mix, sauce; team two – crackers, syrup, noodles).
The Busy 4’s first monthly meeting of the 2016 year is scheduled for Jan. 18. The club will discuss the new business for January. The leaders of the club challenged everyone in the club to bring a plastic bag receipt. Everyone is to make a recycled bird feeder for the January meeting. Recycled item of the month is cardboard. Food pantry item of the month is team one – ketchup and team one – mustard. The Busy 4’s are looking forward to a productive 2016 year.
