Busy 4’s club news

Julia Parsons called the April 17 meeting of the Busy 4’s 4-H Club to order.

Reports were given by the secretary, treasurer and on the plastic bag recycling total. The top recyclers for the year were Annamae Keefer and Nicole Williams. Members were reminded to make their recycled pig hats for Youth Environmental Day, the dates for animal tagging were announced, Quality Assurance needs to be completed and that you need to register your animal for Born and Raised by June 1.

On May 15, the meeting was called to order by Emily Parsons. The song and pledge was led by Courtney Young and Olivia Boggess. Meditations were read by Colton and Nicole Williams. Connor Blessing and Skyla Fife gave a report on the trash pickup that was held on April 18. Items were collected for the church pantry and the items for next month will be detergent and dryer sheets. The recycled item for June will be plastic milk jugs. Members going to North Bend on May 20 were reminded that they need to be there by 10 a.m. to be ready for parade lineup. Camp forms have been mailed and need to be filled out and returned to the extension office ASAP. Older camp will be June 11-15 and younger camp will be June 18-22 at Mason County 4-H Camp at Southside. Club members will be planting flowers at the Baden Community Building on May 23. The Health Activity was given by Olivia Boggess.

Project talks were given by Emily Parsons, Olivia Boggess and Skyla Fife. A motion to adjourn was made by Landon Thompson and seconded by Kayleigh Thompson. The next meeting will be June 19.
