Doris Mae (Forshee) Miller, 86, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Point Pleasant, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Levine Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, N.C.

She was born January 1, 1927, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Frank D. Forshee and Maysil A. (Barringer) Forshee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Miller; one son, John Michael Miller; and one brother, Melvin Forshee.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Joyce M. Clifton of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren, Michael Clifton of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bethany Clifton (Daniel) Stinson of Charlotte, N.C.; a great-granddaughter, Miller Kate Stinson; two brothers, Donald N. Forshee and David L. Forshee both of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Carl “Boxer” Swisher officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
