Guy Richard “Pork” Stewart, 83, of Point Pleasant, passed away on February 7, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1929, in Mason County, a son to the late James Albert Stewart and Elizabeth Ellen Rainey. He was a retired riverboat Captain for Bosworth Towing.

He is preceded in death besides his parents, by his wife, Hilda Chapman Stewart; one son, Rick Stewart; one daughter, Sharon Stewart. Also preceding him in death were seven brothers, Sam, Marvin “Buddy”, Herman “Short”, Charlie, Bill, and Harold “Snake” Stewart; and four sisters, Rene Randolph, Inez Randolph, Margaret “Maggie” Stewart, and Audrey Westmoreland.

He is survived by one daughter, Margaret “Kitty” Stewart; granddaughter, Tina Stewart and her fiance, Josh Robbins; grandson, James and (Nichole) Stewart and Guy Richard Wamsley, granddaughters, Lulu Stewart and Sharon Stewart, Kristine l Wamsley, Melissa A. Mayrs; great-grandsons, Bradley, Joshuah, Caleb, and Ethan; great-granddaughters, Maggie, Tristen, Gerra, Chloe, Destiny, and Emily, and a special friend Linda Laham. Also surviving are one brother Johnnie and (Doris) Stewart, and one sister Judy and (Dale) Roush.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial followed in Kirkland Memorial Gardens also in Point Pleasant. Visitation was held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Monday.
