Erma Rose (Ord) Roach, 85, Ravenswood, departed this life, July 27, 2012, in Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood, following an extended illness.
She was born May 24, 1927 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Harry and Jenny (Hess) Ord.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parsons. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, and was a devoted wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband Rev. James Rankin Roach; daughters and sons in law, Irma Marlene (David) Goodrum of Marietta, Ga., Ramonda Lee (Jule) Bellegia of Lawrenceburg, Ind. and Pelma Rose Wolfe, of Ravenswood; brother, Richard Ord of New Haven; grandchildren, Rachel Wall, Richard Goodrum, Heather Ernst, Shawn Bellegia, Dr. Brandon Wolfe, Dr. Brett Wolfe, Lindsey Roth and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Milton Ord; sister, Della Newland.
Service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Pastor Mark Gerstell officiating. Burial followed in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood. Visitation was from noon until 2 p.m., on Monday prior to the service.
