This and more can be found at the West Virginia State Farm Museum’s Annual Country Fall Festival, which begins today at 9 a.m. This year’s festival will feature gospel singing, tractor pulls and demonstrations. New to this year’s festival is the addition of the Country Fall Festival Queens, Jessie Wamsley, Miss Queen, and Shelby Rodgers, Teen Miss Queen.
During the fall celebration, festival-goers also will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s 30 plus buildings and displays. In addition, apple cider, apple butter and sorghum will be made. At noon, Dewey Taylor will provide entertainment on the main stage. The antique tractor pull will follow at 1 p.m. Other activities set for the day include the Antique Gas Engine Show, Antique Bottle Show and the CEOS Quilt Show.
Festival fun continues Sunday with a church service at 9 a.m. The service will feature guest speaker Bobby Patterson and special guest singer Charles Bowlers. The Gun Slingers also will perform three times, starting at noon. In addition, a gospel sing is set for 1 p.m. The sing will feature four groups, including the Gloryland Believers, New Salvation, New Song and Delivered.
The Country Kitchen will be open both today and Sunday. A Gravely Swap also is scheduled for both days.
