Linda Lou Rogers, 67, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2010, at her residence.

She was born March 5, 1943, in Mason County, a daughter of the late Clair L. and Hattie Enid Somerville Cottrill.

Linda was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and spent her life being a homemaker. She was a faithful member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eileen Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Rogers; her mother, Olive Cottrill of Point Pleasant; one son, Pastor Ed Rogers and wife, Krista of Washington; one daughter, Angie Fries and husband, Terry of Washington; two brothers, Clair Lee Cottrill and wife, Beverly of West Columbia, and Mike Cottrill and wife, Shirley of Point Pleasant; one sister, Elizabeth “Babe” Shiflet and husband, Jack of Rutland, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley and Kayce Rogers, and Lindsay and Luke Fries.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 4, at South Parkersburg Baptist Church on Blizzard Drive in South Parkersburg with Pastor Joe Busch and Pastor Lloyd Hamblin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

The family requests that donations be made to South Parkersburg Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 1655 Blizzard Dr., Parkersburg, WV 26101.
