She was born August 16, 1915, in Leon, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Sylvia Lee (Sayre) Baker.
She was a homemaker and attended both the Creston Church and Mount Tabor Church. She also was very active in community affairs and enjoyed making quilts. She had made hundreds of quilts for families all over the United States.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dorsel Lee Campbell; brothers, Harold, Curtis and Russell Baker; and a sister, Irene Whittington.
She is survived by her children that she had raised as a single mom, Dorsey Campbell of Leon, Dallas Campbell of Leon, Dencil Campbell of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Tommy Campbell of Cottageville; daughters, Carolyn McCoy of Syracuse, Ohio, and Betty Morrison of Leon; sister, Ruby Donohew of Evans; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 5 at Casto Funeral Home in Evans. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
