Robert Eugene Robie, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born on January 17, 1957, in Charleston; a son of Virginia Lee (Cates) Robie and the late Raleigh Eugene Robie. He was a member of F.O.E. 2171 of Pomeroy, Ohio, VFW-Mason, Moose Lodge and American Legion in Point Pleasant, and the Elks in Athens, Ohio.

In addition to his father, he was preceded by granddaughter, Jordan Smith.

In addition to his mother, Virginia Robie, he is survived by his wife, Cindy Robie of Pomeroy, Ohio; children, Randy (Michelle) Robie of Hartford, Erica (Chris) Smith of Racine, Ohio, and Kelly (Allan) Pape of Portland, Ohio; grandchildren, Chandler, Talon and Arrow Drummer, Randall, Jacob and Tory Robie, and Kamryn and Dylan Smith; brothers and sisters, Barbara Sheppard of Clifton, Brenda (Greg) Hoffman of Cottageville, Douglas Robie of Hartford, Carolyn (Sam) Smith of Clifton, Kenneth Robie of New Haven, and Linda Quillen of Tenn.; half-sister, Terry Cox of Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio with Dan Hayman officiating. Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, and two hours prior to the funeral services at the funeral home. There will be a luncheon held after the burial for friends and family to gather at the VFW of Mason social Hall. All are invited.
