She was born February 9, 1937, in Charleston, a daughter of the late Charles Workman and Alpha (Monk) Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Hill.
She held a BSRN and spent most of her career at CAMC, where she specialized and was certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Following her retirement from CAMC, she continued to practice part time at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a member of the Leon Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and shopping.
Mary Lou leaves behind her loving family, sons, Nelson Lee Hill and his wife, Rene’ of South Charleston and Neal Cameron Hill of Leon; daughters, Donna Profitt and her husband, Danny A. of Kenna and Kimberly Lou Moss and her husband, John D., of Sissonville; five grandchildren, Angela Harper, Christopher Slack, Nathan Moss, Jared Hill and Jacob Hill; five great grandchildren, David Harper, Eric Lee Slack, Dakota Harper, Johnathan Abbott and Curtis Edwin Slack; brother, Billy Wells of Hernshaw.
Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 21 at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Basil Hudson officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Casto Funeral Home in Evans.
