Margaret E. Thompson, 95, of New Haven, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 27, 1914 in Letart; daughter of the late Otmer and Kate Roush.

Margaret was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church and a Charter member of the Avalanche CEOS.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Thompson; son, Ralph E. Thompson; brothers, Otmer Lee and Richard P. Roush, sister, Naomi Ohlinger; and an infant sister and brother.

She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (James) Miller of Parkersburg and Patricia (Glenn) Johnson of Letart; daughter-in-law, Vera Thompson of New Haven; grandchildren, Rick Miller, Rodney Miller, Leigh Ann Markley, Doug Johnson, Brent Johnson, Ralphie Thompson, Carl King, Scott King, and Dale King; 16 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Duncan of Columbus, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Fannie Roush of Letart.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Foglesong-Tucker Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in Yonker Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 5 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
