He was born Jan. 20, 1935 in Mason County; a son to the late Campbell and Bertha Stevens.
He was a retired maintenance worker for the Mason County Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teenie Stevens; son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. & (Elly) Steven, II of Holland; one sister, Camaletta and (Joe) Yester of Apple Grove; one granddaughter, Robin Stevens of Holland, special cousins that called him ‘Brother’, Bill, Benny, and Jack Stevens; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at the Deal Funeral Home with Rev. Sanders and Rev Benny Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home.
