Band practice
MASON — The Wahama Alumni Band will practice Sunday, Sept. 6 from 2-4 p.m. in the band room to prepare for Homecoming, Oct. 9.
All alumni flags, rifles, majorettes and band members are urged to attend.

Field of Screams
APPLE GROVE — The Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Apple Grove will be having the fourth annual Field of Screams haunted corn maze.
The maze will be every Friday and Saturday in October starting at dark.
Donations of ideas, old costumes, masks and other Halloween items would greatly be appreciated.

Residents asked to keep city clean
POINT PLEASANT — The City of Point Pleasant has received numerous complaints of area residents blowing cut grass into the streets.
Residents are asked to remove any grass clippings from the street after mowing. Doing this will help keep the city clean as well as assure that the drains function properly during heavy rains.
DUI check point set
HENDERSON — The Mason County detachment of the West Virginia State Police will hold a DUI check point in Henderson 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
Tribute correction
