Born April 1, 1916, in Clay Township of Gallia County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Divers E. and Margarett Lola Belcher Plymale. She was a retired operating room nurses aide from the Holzer Medical Center and was a member of the Elizabeth Chapel Church.
She married Harold Angel on Oct. 28, 1935, in Clipper Mills, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1982.
Surviving is her daughter, Joan (George) Barnette, Gallipolis, Ohio; two grandsons, Edward (Susan) Barnette and Eric (Melissa) Barnette, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; great grandchildren, Lacey Barnette, Natasha (Jon) Walker, Maranda Barnette, Cassiday Barnette, Josh (Tomichelle) Duty, Sarah (Jason) Duty, Jake Duty, Brandon Taylor and Cory Browning; great great grandchildren, McKenna Richards Duty, Zayne Duty and Haylinn Grimm; special friend and neighbor, Virginia Adrian of Gallipolis, Ohio; sister-in-law, Clara Mae McKammon, Lewis Center, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Esther Angel; a son, Ronald Edward Angel; sisters, Florilla Mae Barcus, Mabel Dray, Olive Hill, Evelyn “Kate” McKibbon; brothers, Virgil Plymale, David “Pete” Plymale, Lindsey Plymale, Harry Plymale and Charles Plymale.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Alfred Holley and Rev. Randy Carnes. Interment will be in the Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral chapel.
