LAKIN — Travis E. Martin, 33, of Glasgoh, was involved in a single vehicle accident Saturday, Aug. 22 in Leon.
Martin was traveling South on 62 when he lost control of his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, struck a guard rail and was thrown over an imbankment. He was lifeflighted to St. Mary’s Hospital. Trooper A.D. Wooten investigated.
• Scott Edward Kearns, 38, of Mason, was arrested Aug. 20 by Sargent E.B. Starcher on battery charges. A $1,000 PR Bond was posted.
• Patrick Ray Greene, 30, of Letart, was arrested Aug. 21 by Sargent E.B. Starcher on charges on manufactoring marijuana.
• Paul Matthews Meines, 29, of Point Pleasant, was arrested Monday by Corporal K.M. Gilley on charges of possesion of marijuana, more than 15 grams.
• William A. Norville, 55, of Ashton, was arrested Tuesday by Trooper A.D. Wooten for charges of cultivation of marijuana.

WEST COLUMBIA — On Wednesday, Sargent R.E. Fruth II and Captain C.E. Stearns responded to a 911 hang up call at Barbara Boggs’ residence on Mill Creek Road. While at the residence, marijuana was discovered by the deputies. They recovered 29 plants from inside and around the residence.
Jerry Wayne Boggs, of the same residence, was arrested and charged with manufactoring of marijuana. The marijuana plants ranged in various sizes and has a current street value of $6,000. Sargent S.L. Greene assisted at the scene.
• Travis L. Brunty, 30, of Gallipolis Ferry, was arrested Aug. 16 by Deputy Terry Powell on domestic battery charges.
• John Curtis Lyons, 23, of Point Pleasant, was arrested Tuesday by Captain B.C. Peterson on charges of daytime burglary and grand larceny.
• David D. McDonald, 23, of Galliplis Ferry, was arrested Wednesday by Chief J.S. Fields on charges of receiving stolen property.
• Joseph R. Likens, 29, of Henderson, was arrested Thursday by Deputy Forrest Terry on battery charges.
• Larry D. Smith, 56, of Point Pleasant, was arrested Thursday by Deputy Forrest Terry on charges of assault and DOP.

POINT PLEASANT — Larry Jason Kimbro, 26, of Point Pleasant, was arrested Thursday for eight counts of manufactoring a controlled substance.
Kimbro was arrested at his residence after officers received an anonymous tip that he was growing marijuana outside his residence. Officers responded and found eight marijuana plants.
He was transported to the Mason County Magistrate for arraignment. His bond was set at $8,000 by Magistrate Roush. Kimbro was then transported to the Western Regional Jail.
