POINT PLEASANT — The 2008 Mason County Fair Queen, Katrina Keefer, was honored Tuesday evening at the Moose Lodge in Point Pleasant. The reception was sponsored by Ohio Valley Bank.

The banquet room was packed with family, friends and the 10 contestants who will be competing for the 2009 title. Former fair queens also were in attendance along with several sponsors and Point Pleasant Mayor Brian Billings.

Those who attended enjoyed light refreshments, and during social time were able to talk with the contestants along with the 4-H Royalty and Little Mister and Miss Mason County Fair King and Queen.

The 2009 Queen’s sash was on display, along with the court’s sashes, Keefer’s scrapbooks and slide show and award baskets. Everyone who attended signed a guest book and enjoyed the ‘Cinderella’ theme.

Keefer will be crowing her successor on 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 on the main stage of the fairgrounds. The pageant will be emceed by Randy Parsons.

In addition to the Queen, there will be a first, second and third runner-up, Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, Top Promotional Award, Top Evening Gown Award, Fair Parade Awards for first, second and third places and the Brandy Barkey Community Service Award.

Those vying for the title are Cinthia Lea Arbogast, Hannah Moriah Casto, Megan Jael Casto, Claire Elizabeth Cottrill, Lindsey Danielle Deem, Randi McKenzie Roush, Mackenzie Brianna Stalnaker, Summer Breann Stover, Hannah Rose Wisinsky and Hannah Ruth Workman.
