PPHS Class of 1984 reunion set

POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant High School Class of 1984 began their class reunion Friday at the Iron Gate Grille and on a river boat cruise. Today, the class will take a tour of Point Pleasant High School at 10 a.m. and then have a picnic at noon at the Krodel Park Gazebo.

VA officer in area Tuesday

POINT PLEASANT — Marty Gilchrist, veterans affairs officer with the Parkersburg Field Office of the West Virginia Division of Veterans Affairs, will be at VFW Post 9926 in Mason on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., and at the Mason County Actiion Group in Point Pleasant from noon to 2 p.m.

Gilchrist provides assistance to area veterans in filing for state and federal veterans benefits (compensation, pension, widows, education, etc.) to which they may be entitled.

He provides services to Mason, Wood, Ritchie, Pleasants and Tyler counties.
