Michael Ohlinger, 48, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.

Mike is a veteran of the United States Army, he was very proud of his service as a combat engineer from 1982 to 1988. After his honorable discharge, Mike work for a time at American Alloys. He also worked as an Ironworker out of local #601 of South Carolina.

Mike was a longtime member of Carpenters local #1159 where he worked until his passing.

He was also a member of the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge, and the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Ohlinger; grandparents, Naoma and Herman D. Ohlinger, and Jack Kee Flesher.

Surviving, Mike leaves behind his children; Joshua Ohlinger, of Staunton, Ill., Ryan Shae Ohlinger (Heather), and Micah Leigh Ohlinger, all of Point Pleasant; his loving mother, Nancy Ohlinger; granddaughter, Kloe La’Shae Ohlinger; grandparents, Iris and Bill Gibbs; and very special friends, Julie Taylor, and her son, Michael Taylor.

Services for Michael will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with visitation on from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, in New Haven.

Mike’s care has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.
