Wesley “Wes” Norwood Taylor, Jr., 55, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2013. He was born on June 7, 1957, in Kanawha County, a son to Juanita Atha Taylor Denais of Point Pleasant, and the late Wesley N. Taylor, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Taylor; his loving mother, Juanita Denais; two sons, Wesley Taylor III and Neil Allen; four grandchildren, Wade, Riley, Marley and Clover; brother, Sheldon Denais; sisters, Sarah and Anna Taylor, Oneta and (Rex) Patterson; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and his second family at HRDF.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Taylor and Joseph Denais; and his grandparents.

Wes worked 18 years at HRDF. He touched so many lives-the countless number of youth he helped pass tests, obtain jobs and found them homes. He also had the love for sports. He would help out or coach baseball and basketball. He was always ready to help anybody. Wes was an amazing man. He will be sadly missed. He had so many friends, but some he held so dear; Paul, Steve, Fred, Mike, Charlie, Chris, Chad, Lloyd, Jabar and Percival.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Jack McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomerey Memorial Park in Montgomerey, W.Va. Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 10, at the funeral home.
