Mary “Maxine” Adams, 94, of Pliny, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at her home.

She was born on October 13, 1918 in Mason County, a daughter to the late John Chapman and Grace Finley Chapman. She was a farmer, and was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church in Pliny.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Rex Davis Adams; son, Robert Eugene Adams; daughter, Geraldine Adams Putney; grandchildren, Sandra Putney and Terry Williamson; brothers, Floyd “Pete” Chapman and Bill Chapman.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenna (Wayne) Williamson of Southside, Jeannie (Jim) Newton of Logan, Ohio, Brenda (Jim) Morgan of Pliny; brother, John (Bonnie) Chapman of Monrow, Mich.; sisters, Modena Duckworth of Alliance, Ohio, and Louis (Randall) Duncan of Apple Grove; as well as 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 1 p.m., at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Bert Flora and Rev. Fred McCallister officiating. Burial will follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Pliny. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
