Mother Nature wreaked havoc on the high school basketball scene Friday, as snowfall forced several postponements throughout the area in both Ohio and West Virginia.

The Ohio Valley Publishing area had all but one of its Friday night contests cancelled due to inclement weather, as the Eastern girls basketball team made the trip to Huntington, W.Va. to battle Saint Joseph Central at the CSX St. Joe Invitational.

Games that were as fortunate Friday night included Logan at Gallia Academy boys, Eastern at South Gallia boys, Federal Hocking at Wahama boys, Belpre at Southern boys, Meigs at Alexander boys, Ravenswood at Point Pleasant boys, and a boys-girls doubleheader between Ohio Valley Christian and host Teays Valley Christian.

Below are the rescheduled makeup dates of those postponed Friday night contests.

— Logan at Gallia Academy (tripleheader now begins at noon Saturday, Jan. 26)

— Federal Hocking at Wahama (JV-varsity now begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26) *Wahama will still be retiring the jerseys of six former 1,000-point scorers at this contest.

— Belpre at Southern (JV-varsity now begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26)
