GALLIA COUNTY — James E. Gardner, a person of interest in his father’s November death, is in custody of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office after nearly a month on the run.
Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning confirmed that Gardner was taken into custody on Friday morning.
According to Meigs County Sheriff Robert Beegle, agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation are going to Gallia County to question Gardner. Sgt. Scott Trussell and Sgt. Bill Gilkey from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office were also going to Gallia County late Friday morning.
