Here is the West Virginia Farm Museum’s Country Store which is ready to go for the museum’s Christmas Light Display and Drive Thru.

POINT PLEASANT — With over a month’s work down and a little bit more to go, the West Virginia Farm Museum’s annual Christmas Light Display and Drive Thru has nearly arrived.
According to Farm Museum Staff, decorating for the light display began immediately following the Country Fall Festival in October and will continue right up until the display opens from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. The display and drive thru will be open during that same time on a nightly basis, through Monday, Dec. 17, and there is no charge for admission.
Various items around the museum grounds ranging from an old train and antique farm machinery to replicas and refurnished historical buildings such as “The Mission Ridge One-Room School” and the former Point Pleasant Register office have been decked out in full holiday gear.
Museum staff also stated the annual event is a way for the museum to give back to the community and while admission is free, the display and drive thru also serves as a fundraiser for the museum and donations are always welcome.
“We just like doing it,” staff members said.
It was also stated that the museum’s Country Kitchen will be open each night, with free hot chocolate and cookies offered for the guests. Santa Claus will also be in the Old Country Store, waiting to talk to local children about what they want for Christmas.
