Hugh ‘Bub’ Garland Leach

Hugh “Bub” Garland Leach, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after battling a long illness. He was born in Point Pleasant, on April 9, 1943, a son to the late Hugh Leach and Betty Robbins Leach. He was retired from Hartley Marine Corp., and a man of many trades.

He is preceded in death, besides his parents, by his brothers, Rusty and Mike Leach; sister, Nancy Love; and a son, Shawn.

He is survived by two sons, Hugh Jr. “Bubbie” and Donna Leach of Letart, and Leland (Lee) Leach and Matisha from Point Pleasant; one daughter, Betty (Beth) McCoy and Bill Barley of Albany, Ohio; one brother, Jeff Leach, and one sister, Linda Long, both of Point Pleasant, and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Sampy Hart officiating. Friends may visit the family from 6-7 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
