Charles Edward Fields, 84, of Henderson, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born on February 14, 1928, in Cattlettsburg, Ky., a son to the late Charles Edward Fields and Anne Stewart Fields. He graduated from Technical School in Kentucky, and retired after 35 years of service at the Kyger Creek Power Plant.

He is preceded in death, besides his parents, by brother, Homer Fields; sister, Anne Fields; and great-grandson, Allen Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Roberts Fields of Henderson; two sons, Charles E. Fields Jr. of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Michaell Fields of Beverly Hills, Fla.; one step-daughter, Sheri Dunaway of Hawthorne, Fla.; three step-sons, Brian Keith Martin of Radcliff, Ky., Steven Wayne Legier of Hanover, Pa., and David Lee Shepperd of Vine Grove, Ky.; one brother, Don Fields of Freeport, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Charles and Nancy has a combined family of 20 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Harold Tracewell officiating. Burial will follow the service. Friends may visit the family from 10 a.m. until noon, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, prior to leaving for the service at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian K. Martin, Steven W. Legier, David L. Shepperd, Larry Lane, J.R. Spencer, and Charles Kerwood.
