Barbara A. Eshenaur, age 74, of Orrville, Ohio, passed away on October 30, 2012, at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio, following a short illness.
She was born on July 24, 1938, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of Troy and Esther (Lambert) Russell. She was united in marriage to Dr. Oliver C. Eshenaur on July 26, 1968, in Connersville, Ind. He died on May 6, 2010.
Barbara graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1956, and received her RN degree from the Joseph School of Nursing in Parkersburg. She had worked as an RN for Dr. Oliver Eshenaur’s father, Dr. Roy Eshenaur, at his medical clinic in Point Pleasant.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing the organ, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping in general, and especially during the Christmas season. She was a member of the Orrville Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Alan Eshenaur and Raymond (Traci) Eshenaur, both of Orrville, Ohio, and Richard (Kelley) Eshenaur of Chesterton, Ind.; step-daughters, Pamela (Chris) Ion of Gaithersburg, Md. and Theresa (Andy) Wickline of Gallipolis, Ohio; step-son, William Eshenaur of Sacramento, Calif; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and sisters, Jean Gaskins of Point Pleasant and Dee Chambers of Roanoke, Va.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a step-daughter, Julie Fay.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012, the Orrville Christian Church with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, Ohio.
