Kathy L. Draper, 63, of Letart, passed away on October 21, 2012. She was born on September 15, 1949 in Roanoke, Va., daughter of June Day Martin of Roanoke and the late Ralph Martin.
Kathy was a dedicated wife and a loving, caring and very supportive mother. She was a member of the Mason United Methodist Church and was the former pianist for 15 years at New Haven United Methodist Church. Kathy was a L.P.N. and a former E.M.T. with the New Haven emergency squad.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Draper of Letart; children, Dana (Bo) Johnson of Pomeroy, Ohio, David Draper of Charolotte, N.C. and Steve (Kristy) Draper of Salem, Mass.; grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Ethan Draper and Owen Draper; brothers, Dale (Cathy) Martin of Roanoke, Va., and Michael (Becky) Martin of Fredericksburg, Va.; and her mother, June Day Martin of Roanoke, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012, with Pastor Scott Knowlton officiating at the Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in New Haven. A registry is available at www.andersonfh.com.
