Doris Faye (Randolph) Deweese, 78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her large and loving family at the home of her gentle caregiver LueAnn (DeWeese) Smith in Point Pleasant. She was a homemaker and retired as a nurse’s aide from Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio. Doris and Basil DeWeese were formerly of Henderson. She was born on February 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Rainey and Esther (Rainey) Randolph, and was the loving wife of the late Basil DeWeese.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents and her husband, by her brother, Charles Randolph; infant sister, Ruby Irene Randolph; two sons, David (Radar) DeWeese and Basil Ray “BR” DeWeese II; two grandsons, Joseph Bennett and Thomas Walker; and granddaughter, Janice (Crumley) Moon.

Doris is survived by five daughters and three sons, Judy (Rick) Bennett of Point Pleasant, Connie (Roy) Siders of Bidwell, Ohio, Gloria (Kim) Hill of Calif., Janie DeWeese Foley of Gallipolis, Ohio, LueAnn (DeWeese) Smith of Point Pleasant, and Albert of Grantsville; daughter-in-law, Mary DeWeese, Randy (Teresa) DeWeese of Point Pleasant, Benny (Teri) DeWeese of Gallipolis Ferry, Tommy (Pam) DeWeese of Pomeroy, Ohio; five sisters and one brother, Nancy (Don) Shaw of Bidwell, Ohio, Alice (Tom) Bollinball of Columbus, Ohio, Helen Pearson of Point Pleasant, Erma Smith of Point Pleasant, Floris (Clyde) Wolfenbarger of Point Pleasant, and Robert (Tweety) Randolph also of Point Pleasant; as well as 22 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and her special friends, Dolly Stanley of Point Pleasant, and Duwayne Pearson of Point Pleasant, and caregiver, Amy Wymer of Gallipolis Ferry.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Ron Swiney officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Henderson Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Pleasant Valley Home Health and Hospice, Pleasant Valley Home Medical Equipment, Dr. Agnes Simon, and Mason County Action Group for all the loving kindness showed to their blessed mother and grandmother during her sickness.
