Orville Everett Parsons, 44, of Henderson, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.

He was a volunteer with the Point Pleasant EMS and Point Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department and was the designated driver for the Double D Lounge.

Orville was born Oct. 24, 1964 in Point Pleasant to the late Everett Lee Parsons and Annie Hester (Gordon) Parsons Gillispie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Mary Jane Gordon; and a nephew, Bryan Matthew Hurlow.

Surviving are his wife, Linda (Cantrell) Parsons of Henderson, whom he married Aug. 12, 1988; four sons, Timothy (Edden) Parsons of Letart, Dale Parsons (Tara Roush) of Henderson, Jimmy Parsons of Henderson and Curtis Parsons of Henderson; a grandson, Timothy Allen McKinley Parsons of Letart; aunt and uncle, Robert and Linda Gordon of Leon; cousin, Robert Gordon Jr. of Leon; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with the Rev. Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
