Cora M. Ferguson Poling, 91, of Point Pleasant, went home on Friday, October 5, 2012, at Holzer Assisted Living in Bidwell, Ohio. She was born May 16, 1921, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Arthur Edwards and Eliza Jane Nobles Edwards. She and her husband, James, operated an Apposite Shop in Point Pleasant and she worked for Sylvia Plant in Point Pleasant and attended the First Church of the Nazarene Point Pleasant. She was also an Member of the Pleasant Valley Auxiliary and sang in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James Ferguson; second husband, Hansal Poling; six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by nephew, Arthur and (Janet) Warner of Letart, Ohio; her special friends, Betty Roach, Marylin Higginbotham, Carol White, Annabell Hudnall all of Point Pleasant; and a host of other special friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home, With Rev. James Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
