David Lee Rimmey, 50, of Point Pleasant, died suddenly at Pleasant Valley Hospital on September 25, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born on July 30, 1962, a son to Robert Rimmey and Betty Dunn Rimmey of Point Pleasant. He worked at Fellman Productions in New Haven as a train operator.


He was a member of the Army National Guard, American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant and Steelworkers Local 583.


He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Butch Rimmey.


He is survived, besides his parents, by his spouse, Vicky Wamsley of Point Pleasant; daughters, Brittany Leigh Rimmey of New Haven, Megan Wamsley of Point Pleasant, and Jessie (Chris) Wamsley Workman of Point Pleasant; son, Johnnie (Rachel) Wamsley of Point Pleasant; grandson, Ben Wamsley of Point Pleasant; and brother, Chris (Susan) Rimmey also of Point Pleasant.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Anthony Toler officiating. Full military graveside rites conducted by the Army National Guard and American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant, will follow in Barton Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
