Black Knights defeat Scott Skyhawks, 8-1

MADISON, W.Va. — The Point Pleasant boys soccer team traveled to Boone County to take on Scott Skyhawks Tuesday night. The Black Knights (6-3-0) led 5-0 at halftime and went on the defeated Scott with a score of 8-1.

Point Pleasant’s Ryan Bonecutter had a hat trick int he first half, while Tommy Foust scored twice. With a lead of 5-0 at the half, players were switched up and reserves was mixed in.

The Black Knights continued to dominate the field and found the net for 3 more goals. Brady Reymond, Viktor Mertin and Trenton Bailes added a goal apiece in the second half. In the the 78th minute Scott got on the board for the first time, but it was too little, too late as PPHS took the 8-1 victory.

Reymond had one save for the Black Knights, while freshman Tristen Hay had 3 saves. Stevie Porter had one assist for Point Pleasant on the night.
