Leland and Nellie VanMeter
Rev. Leland and Nellie will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. They were married Sept. 14, 1962, in Point Pleasant.
The couple has two children, Wilma (Kenny) Fox and Charles (Regina) VanMeter. They have six grandchildren, Kim, Kenny, Kayla, Rachel, Tyler and Jarrod, and two great-grandchildren, Caiden and Hunter.
Leland is retired from W.Va. Division of Forestry and Nellie is retired from Rockwell Automation. They attend Harvey Chapel and Pleasant Valley Church.
Leland and Nellie will celebrate their anniversary with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15, at the Flatrock Fire Department. The couple is request no gifts.
