Naomi Mae Bowles, 73, formerly of Grimms Landing, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Oma Chapel Community Church for 60 years.

Born August 6, 1939, she was the only daughter of Larry Anthony Tucker and Mary Abigail Wolf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alvin K. Bowles, and a step-brother, Peyton Craig of Mebane, N.C.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Thornton of Hurricane, and Janet (Mark) Chattin of Flatrock; an aunt, Alma Bailes of Grimms Landing; granddaughters, Becky Buck and Linda Thornton; grandson, Brad Chattin; great-grandsons, Wesley, Lucas, Ethan, and Eli; and step-sister, Iris Beaver of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Raynes Funeral Home in Buffalo with Pastor Randy Parsons and Pastor Sampy Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Chapel Church Cemetery in Robertsburg. The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the funeral home.
