Mary F. Stewart, 79, of Letart, went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2012, at OSU Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio, after her battle with cancer.
She was born on November 21, 1932, at home in Leon, a daughter to the late Elzie DeVault and Grace Wheeler DeVault. She was a homemaker and loved by all. She was a member of Old Town Board Baptist Church and Maranatha Cornerstone Church, both of Letart.
She is preceded in death besides her parents, by husband, Billy Stewart; son, David Stewart; granddaughter, Tina Stewart; son-in-law, Robert Keyes; and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by sons, Doug (Lora) Stewart of Letart, Dallas (Bonnie) Stewart of West Columbia, Bruce Stewart of Cottageville, Donald (Jennifer) Stewart of Cottageville, Dorsel (Carla) Stewart of Philippi; daughter, Diana Keyes of Cross Lanes; sisters, Merlie (Allen) Hart of Leon, Joan Legg of Leon, Margaret (Charlie) Cain of Leon, Dottie (Sampy) Hart of Leon; brothers, Walter DeVault of Atawah, Tenn., and Paul DeVault of Sidney, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Greg Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Leon Presbyterian Cemetery in Leon. Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the funeral home.
