Patricia A. Forshee, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away on August 7, 2012, at Holzer Medical Center. She was born in Mason County, on August 19, 1940, a daughter to the late Guy W. German and Anna Oliver Stearns.

She was formally a resident of Abbyshire Place Nursing Home where she left behind many friends. She has served as the President of the resident’s committee at the nursing home and spent a lot of time making crafts and giving them to her friends. Aside from raising and cooking for six kids, she also served as a prior Senior Regent at the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge 731. Her family remembers her as always wearing her “rose colored glasses” and being of good nature. She endured much teasing from her large family. Best times were spent doing simple things with family. She fought a long hard battle with her health, but kept her spirits up as she knew she would be going home to be with the Lord.

She is preceded in death besides her parents, by sister, Barbara L. Harper; brother, Robert (Bobby) German; and an infant granddaughter, Morgan.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Forshee; sons, David Bruce Forshee and wife, Lesa of Apple Grove, Marc Allen Forshee and wife, Rachel of Leon, Travis Z. Forshee of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Tammy J. Martin and her husband, Dave of Chester, Va., Lori Austin and her husband, Terry of Point Pleasant, and Mona Smith of Vincent, Ohio; her brother, George German and Kay of Ravenswood; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Johnny Hayman officiating. After the service her final resting place will be at Jordan Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
