Willard LeRoy “Bud” Nibert, 72, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away at his home on August 4, 2012. He was born March 8, 1940, in Mason County, a son to the late Willard and Nora Neville Nibert. He was an retired self-employed truck driver and a member of Pleasant Ridge Church in Gallipolis Ferry.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Connie Nibert.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Nibert; and his children, Tammy and (Don) Lucas of Apple Grove, Pam and (Clay) Moore of Rocky Mount, Va., David and (Sandra) Nibert of Circleville, Ohio, Karen and (Tony) Grass of Apple Grove, Lisa and (Scott) Vincent of Milton, Willard and “Cecil” and (Lexi) Nibert of Columbus, Ohio; and step-children, Kenneth and (Kim) Davenport of Marion, Ohio, Crystal Petty of Lima, Ohio, Jeanie and (Allen) Imbody of Marion, Ohio, Charles Petty of Prospect, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and sister, Roxie and (Dale) Stover; and special friends, Billy Stewart, and Leon who were like his brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jerry Colburn officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
