Evelyn Marie Bush, 92, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Friday, August 3, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant.
She was born July 1, 1920 in Gallipolis Ferry, a daughter of the late Earl Dean Carlyle and Velma (Roberts) Carlyle. She was a member of Wyoma Pentacostal Church and a retired nurse’s aide from Lakin Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Bush; four sons, Mason Lee Bush, Norman Eugene Bush, Dwaine Franklin Bush, and a stillborn infant; one sister, Ella Seeley; and three brothers, Rex Carlyle, Frank Carlyle and Branch Carlyle.
Evelyn is survived by two sons, John P. (Wilma “Jean”) Bush of Gallipolis Ferry, and Dennis Dean Bush of Gallipolis Ferry; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sue Bush of Gallipolis Ferry; four grandchildren, Danny, Brent, Jeanne, and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Cody; two brothers, Dennis “Snooky” Carlyle of Grove City, Ohio, and Hillis “Hibbie” Carlyle of Columbus, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Doolie Carlyle of Columbus, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Gallipolis Ferry. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
