The Mason County Commission recently honored youth in the county who are involved in 4-H and other agricultural activities. Pictured alongside County Administrator John Gerlach and Mason County Commissioners Miles Epling, Rick Handley and Bob Baird, is Madison Crank, the West Virginia Beef Ambassador. Crank gave a presentation on the beef industry to the commission at its most recent meeting, and fed them hamburgers raised from her own cattle. In addition, this year’s Mason County Fair 4-H Royalty were recognized by the commission and are Amanda King, 4-H queen, Karlee Edmonds, junior miss 4-H, Sarah Deem, young miss 4-H. The three young ladies led the Pledge of Allegiance at the most recent commission meeting.
